A nice hotel in traditional style with friendly service and a very good restaurant. This hotel comes highly recommended.
The hotel is located at the top end of Zermatt about 15 minutes on foot from the station. Standing on the edge of the village, visitors feel almost as if they are in the countryside proper
The rooms are medium sized and simply yet tastefully furnished. The style is mildly but not overbearingly rustic. The large majority of rooms have a wonderful uninterrupted view of the mighty Matterhorn and most rooms have balconies. Both the rooms and the simple bathrooms are in excellent condition.
The building is not old, but is in traditional Swiss chalet style with a wooden facade and colourful flower displays on the balconies
Located on the first floor, the hotel restaurant is one of the hotel's best features. It is beautifully decorated in elegant yet rustic style and there are lovely views of the Matterhorn from one side. The cuisine is simply excellent
The lobby is small and welcoming. There is plentiful seating in the cosy bar which is off the lobby. The decor is typically Swiss with plenty of rustic touches
