The resort offers a wide range of recreational facilities from rejuvenating treatments at the Chi Spa, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi and plunge pools to aerobics classes at the gymnasium. The resort has 6000 square metres of swimming pools as well as a 500 metre "lazy" river, and children's and toddlers swimming pools. There are no children facilities located at Al Husn, however a dedicated "Little Turtles" Kids Club providing both indoor air conditioned, and outdoor play areas is located at Al Waha Hotel. Al Husn features its own private beach, which is reserved for guests over 16 years old, and a swimming pool that is open to visitors over 12 years old. Families with children under these ages are encouraged to book accommodation in the other two hotels. Visitors wishing to stay in Al Husn should be advised that extra beds or cots are not available and they will be required to book extra rooms for their children. There are also four tennis courts and a dive centre which is due to open in December 2006 offering scuba diving, snorkelling, dolphin and whale watching trips, and a marina with berthing for up to 80 boats and yachts. This resort is truly unique and an ideal getaway for any traveller. (SD 05.08)
