The UK's first Indian themed hotel! Opened in 1999, the rooms are in excellent condition. It is a different, and very attractive property for a visit to Edinburgh. Please note that hotel entrance closes at 22:00 therefore guests need to ring the bell when checking in after that time.

This hotel is situated a short walk from Haymarket station, in the west end of Edinburgh. The airport is less than a 15-minute drive, and Princes Street is less than 5 minutes by taxi.
The rooms are all individually designed with furnishings and fabrics from India. All bedrooms are large and named after districts and aspects of colonial India. There is an attention to detail, such as a movie reel and an old film camera in the 'Bollywood' room. The bathrooms are very sumptuous and tiled with original Indian tiles.
It is a traditional Georgian building, set back from the roadside. Statuettes of elephants stand sentry at the entrance.
There is no restaurant, but continental breakfast is served in the lounge.
The lobby is small, but cosy, and furnished with fine furniture and artifacts from India.
