This is a good superior tourist class hotel offering excellent value for money. Great location with excellent local transport links to the city. (GW 11/2008)
The hotel is situated a mere one and a half miles from Manchester city centre to which Trafford Bar metro station (100 yards away) offers regular, speedy access. It is conveniently located close to the main A56 just five minutes from junction 7 of the M60. It is only a few minutes walk to Old Trafford Football and Cricket Grounds.
The 35 rooms (including doubles, twins, singles and triples) all have en-suite facilities, remote control colour television, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press and hairdryer. A limited room service is available. All rooms are in good condition, a little dated, but very comfortable.
An imposing Victorian building which was originally the Trafford Public Hall. It has been a hotel since the early 1980 and there is also a complimentary car park around the hotel.
A good traditional breakfast is served in the dining room which has recently been refurbished. The evening meals are more like good "pub grub" than a la carte. A very good selection of tasty meals are available from 5 -10 pm.
There is a small reception after entering through the main entrance.
