The parador rises up on the Ronda de San Francisco, a central location of Almagro close to the most important monuments of the town. It is located 22 kilometres from Ciudad Real, the capital of the province.

This Parador is the former convent of San Francisco which was built in 1596. The inner rooms are welcoming with an elegant, peaceful air, with the 14 inner courtyards, the splendid gardena nad the swimming-pool standing out from the ensemble.
