Among the places well worth a visit, are the 16th century gothic basilica of Santa Maria. The Parador is located in the old quarter of the town, right to the heart of the Rias Baixas. 1208AB
This Parador occupies a palace which was formerly the residence of the Counts of Maceda. It rises up in the historical center of the town and combines regal, noble and staly lines with innumerable references to a rural dream in a setting which invites to visit numerous coves and beaches.
They are cosy and comfortable, with a little hall and the decor is classical or castilian.
The facade is neo-classical with a frontispiece in the same style. The interior entirely maintains the appearance of the old pazo. This three storey building with attic and a tower, is composed of two square buildings that enclose an access courtyard and lateral garden.
The dinning room is elegant. The cuisine is dominated by seafood with specialties including; octopus, oysters, scallops, crabs and lobsters.
The entrance is typical of the XVIth century with a carpeted stone staircase and carved railing.
