In the heart of the city, this parador occupies an old convent of baroque style, preserving many of its ancient elements.
There are 82 rooms available, distributed around the patio and some of them are in the anexe. The decor can be considered austere, like cells with terracota floors, vaulted and beamed ceilings, wooden furniture and views to the garden.
The inner court is an example of what the history of the city is. Roman columns with visigothic cornices have been used to build the cloister of the convent which was founded in the XVIIIth century on the remains of a Roman temple and converted in 1933, the decoration is governed by Roman motifs.
The cuisine of the parador is typical of the region and very tasteful.
It is very nicely decorated maintaining the style of the rest of the rooms.
