Set on the slopes of the Esperanca mountains just over 1 kilometre from Belmonte town with a stunning landscape with views over the Cova da Beira region and the Estrela mountain range.
The 24 rooms have been decorated in different ways and styles but again the elegance and good taste is present in every detail. They are medium in size and also fully equipped with private bathroom.
This property was built on the ruins of a former convent. Before the monastery this was the site of a hermitage founded in the thirteenth century. This has preserved the monastery heritage intact. The chapel and sacristy have been transformed into lounge and bar. The result is a harmonious blend of historical architecture and modern construction and comfort.
The restaurant serves excellent regional foods such as grilled codfish, kid stew and local egg pudding.
The entrance to the Pousada has been decorated and furnished to an apartan style but always up to a high standard and elegance. Beige, terracota and brown colours have been used.
