Hachimantai Ski area is famous for the long season, lasting almost a half year, from the end of November to the beginning of May. The hotel also has hot spring baths, both indoor/outdoor and several banqueting and meeting rooms.(03/08 HT)
The resort hotel is located outskirt of Mt. Hachimantai, in the north of Iwate Prefecture. It is surrounded by the beauty of nature which shows different aspects by season. "Hachimantai Ski resort" is near by and there are several ski slopes in the area. From the capital of Iwate prefecture, Morioka, where bullet train (Tohoku Shinkansen) from Tokyo stops at, it takes about 50 minutes by taxi to the hotel. There is also public bus from Morioka station to Hachimantai (East Hachimanai Trafic Center). The bus takes passengers to the area in 90 minutes. From the traffic center, it is five minutes taxi ride to the hotel. Otherwise, from Iwate Numakunai station on bullet train, it is 40 minutes car ride to the hotel.
All rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but kept in good condition.
It is a modern, 12-storey white building.
There are some choice of restaurants from Japanese, Chinese and Western Cuisine.
It is large with some sitting space.
