Athenaeum House offers 25 executive en-suite bedrooms, double or twin depending on your requirements. Each bedroom is uniquely named after a distinguished writer, artist, inventor or musician.

The Athenaeum House Hotel or Rocklands House as it was originally known, is a two storey over basement Georgian Style House with a wing building attached. This was obviously a very large Merchants house with big hall and reception rooms. The new owners have managed to maintain a lot of the original plaster work, fireplaces and windows. Zaks restaurant offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week and our chefs prepare an eclectic mix of Irish and Continental dishes. Great emphasis is placed on purchasing locally produced food at all times. To compliment your meal you can choose from our worldwide array of Wines and Champagnes from our cellar. Our team members will assist you at any stage. Your Friday and Saturday nights will be complimented by our resident pianist who creates a relaxing atmosphere.
